Movement

#6 Truffle10 led activity with two cuts, both on Daisy Cruiser. They improved their four-month old course time by 0.6 seconds, moving from 15th to 5th place, and thanked the Bullet Blaster. Tristan's WR here is still raced with the Barrel Train, but it seems the Bullet Blaster makes some corners easier? Anyway, Truffle also improved their lap to 6th place, and this 5-6 combo makes Daisy Cruiser their third best ranked track. With a 0.4pt AF cut, Truffle moved ahead of Xander G in the rankings (AF 9.47 vs 9.63).

Close behind, #8 Ricky Haitaian lowered his AF to 9.72 and needs just 0.1 more to pass Xander. He is also 0.25 behind Truffle, which means all three are very close. Ricky's week produced 3 improvements, a new top-10 on Sherbet Land (he is now 9th there) and two improvements on his weakest track, Wario Colosseum. Baby Park is now Ricky's main weakness, although it's not clear if he's done with Colosseum for now or whether he'll continue pushing it.

#10 Trenton Steinburg was pleased to slip into the top-10 following a 0.5pt cut, which was enough to move past #11 Robert M. His highlights were a 31"1 Cruiser lap (new top-10) and 32"06 Yoshi lap (another new top-10). Trenton built a 0.25pt cushion, so his top-10 status might be safe from any AF fluctuations.

#24 Shane Pizza, #30 Enzo Vusur, and #35 Andreas Gkinis were all active within the top-50. Shane got both of his Yoshi Circuits up to top-30 level to match his average, though did not move up in the rankings for his effort. Enzo moved ahead of fellow French players Frederic V and Greg L in the rankings -- and earned a top-30 spot -- following some spectacular work on his weakest track, Dry Dry Desert. He improved his 3lap from 61st to 26th, where his old run was more than one year old. With an average of 34.1 nowadays, you could argue that being 61st somewhere was a sad look in comparison. The spectacular part was Enzo's lap, which he smashed from 41st to 13th place, and his "old" run there was not a year old but merely two weeks old. Andreas also gained a spot, passing JSX to make the top-35. He is not super close to Enzo, but he could feasibly pass Konsta J and Guillaume B in the next two weeks. Andreas had six small cuts, with DK Mountain (from 46th down to 34th) being his biggest cut, but his highlight was finally reaching 32/32 Myths.

#82 Charlotte Crego gained three ranks and moved ahead of Jamie D, Daniel B, and Olivier L. Most of the legwork was done on Luigi Circuit, improving from their six-month old runs (ranked 117th and 128th on the lap) down to 91st and 83rd on the lap. Charlotte knew this track had the most room for improvement, so expected some big cuts and found them, including getting their 16th Myth standard to reach the half-way point of 16/32 Myths.

#104 Joe Consoli found six additional cuts to last week's mini-return, and moved up three more positions. He reported a 6pt cut and needs a further 6 points to reach #100 Kris W and join the top-100 club. Joe reported 6 improvements, of which all six were Myth standards. This brought his Myth tally from 6 to 11/32, with one of the scores not adding to the tally because it was already Myth. Joe's Myth collection is clearly concentrated in the early tracks, and he gave Luigi 3lap a good shot this week and brought it up to Titan A. It looks like he wants to add this missing piece to his collection. Joe also raced a new best-ranked time, now 76th on Colosseum lap (previously 84th on Sherbet).

#231 Ewan Lesko reported a 26pt cut, the largest this week, with 23 improvements raced sometime since his last update two months ago. Ewan is still mostly racing within the Hero tier, but did find his second Titan standard with a 22"49 lap on Peach Beach, making the Titan cutoff by 0"001. He already had his first Titan on Luigi Circuit, also by a tight 0"002, and managed to improve it quite a bit to Titan C level. In fact, Ewan's new Luigi times are both ranked top-200 and it's clearly his best track, with the aforementioned lap ranked as high as 166th place.

Also active: #64 Andrea Coronado (sixth God standard), #116 James Bulluck (return after two months), #222 Jacob Langone (found a fifth Titan standard), ~1439 Darkcry Valou (still played just a few tracks, but found their first Expert standard).

Vlad has played a couple of tracks so far, at mid Beginner level. JaviviHD sent in some Baby Park scores, although they appear to be rom-hacked MKDD and perhaps not a legit emulator run, so we'll wait for a future submission from him to clear up any confusion.

Movement

#1 Andrew Harvey was active and finally joined the 1'27 club on Dry Dry Desert with a 1'27"98. He's been trying for a while and missed it by 0"01 last month. Unfortunately no spots gained, with his score remaining in fourth place, which means Andrew remains on 2.75 AF compared to 2.78 for #2 Tristan C.

#8 Ricky Haitaian improved his Baby Park lap under 8"35 for the first time, but sadly did not gain any AF for his efforts. Close behind, #11 Trenton Steinburg moved ahead of ex-champion Andrew M in the rankings with a couple of improvements, most notably a 1'39"8 on Yoshi Circuit. It was Trenton's first sub-1'40 there, a cut of a third of a second compared to his two-year old former run, and a jump from 21st to 13th in that race. #10 Robert M, the next player ahead, is only 0.25 AF points away and that's a smaller amount of AF than Trenton cut this week. Look out, Robert.

#32 Enzo Vusur found three improvements this week, with Baby Park lap being a clear highlight. Enzo's old time of 8"44 was ranked 50+, and his new 8"39 was fast enough for 38th, and also an enviable sub as well. Enzo also improved his 7lap to 41st, gaining another new top-50 that he didn't have before. In the rankings, Enzo broke the tie with Konsta and moved ahead of #33 Guillaume B, and has two more fellow French players (Greg L and Frederic V) between him and the top-30.

#40 Mats Frium raced just one track this week, but he pointed out that his cuts were pretty huge. The track: Mushroom City. The task: beat his runs from last June, both ranked 50+. The result: he cut 0"7 on the 3lap and 0"3 on the lap to push them both to top-30 level, with the lap ranked slightly higher at 24th place. It's actually Mats's fifth highest ranked time, behind his Colosseum and Rainbows. Surprisingly, his 2pt AF cut did not gain him any spots, but he managed to claw his way to Zack O and is very close behind, so he should be able to move into the 30s tier with his next update.

#107 Joe Consoli gained a few spots after reporting 6 new runs, his first ones in six weeks. He targeted his weaker tracks where he was ranked 130+ (except of course Dino Dino Jungle, his actual weakest track, which he is strategically avoiding). Joe pushed his Mushroom Bridge x2, DK Mountain x2, and Yoshi Circuit lap by around 20 spots each to move closer to the top-100. One exception was Sherbet lap, which he boosted to 84th and well inside the top-100, which is now Joe's new top time.

#221 Nathan Hayter added a few more top-200s to his collection, which is still small yet growing. His biggest cut this week was on Daisy Cruiser, improving the lap from 305th to 187th, and it was also Nathan's sixth Titan standard. He also improved the Daisy Cruiser 3lap and Mario Circuit lap by almost as much. With a 18pt AF cut, the magnitude of Nathan's cuts has been slowing down as his rank increases. He is more than 250 higher than he was two months ago, and I'm guessing that reaching top-200 is on his to-do list for the next couple of weeks.

#437 Brendan Ryan submitted his first PRs since 2025 and improved many of his 500+ ranked times. His biggest cut was on Yoshi Circuit lap, from 553rd to 379th, and he found a new highest ranked time with 331st place on Daisy Cruiser (which, incidentally, was also his first Expert standard). Brendan's cuts were enough to take him to overall Expert B status, and the 36pt AF cut won him 32 spots in the rankings.

Also active: #225 Jacob Langone (improving Bowser's Castle within the top-200), #449 Oliwia Tachyon (returning to Mushroom Bridge after many months).

#12 Trenton Steinburg led activity this week, managing his first cuts in two weeks with double top-15s in Luigi Circuit. Trenton is 0.2 AF points behind former champion #11 Andrew M.

#17 Joseph Emerald moved ahead of Xander J following a strong 0.7pt AF cut. Joseph raced his first cuts in Rainbow Road since 2024, improving his course time by 0"7 and his lap time by 0"3. The lap was almost twenty positions faster than the old lap, and was an upgrade from Myth to God (his 30th). The 3lap remains Myth+ and sadly Joseph missed the God cut off by a tiny 0"1. Aside from the Rainbow 3lap, the last thorn in his side is DK Mountain 3lap.

#33 Enzo Vusur, #40 Mats Frium, and #64 Andrea Coronado were all active this week. Enzo reported two improvements for a 0.7pt AF cut and tied Konsta J, technically gaining a spot as a result. He played Baby Park and improved the course time by 0"4s, jumping two standards from Myth A to God. Mats also played Baby Park and achieved a mini-sub lap of 8"399. And lastly, Andrea returned to Waluigi Stadium with her first improvement in over a year, slashing 0"7s (and twenty spots) to go sub-1'39 on the track and nearly won a top-50 time. Andrea has seven top-50s already and got 53rd place here, slightly missing out.

Near the top-200 border, #182 Andy Best sent in 8 PRs for a 13pt AF cut and gained ten spots. This helped Andy pass #186 Douglas Palma, who had moved ahead just last week. Andy last reported in four months ago, which had given Douglas ample time to catch up. All the improvements were top-200 level and the quickest was 142nd place on Desert 3lap, which was also a new Titan standard. #186 Douglas was also active this week and, despite losing a spot to Andy, still moved up with wins against David L, Mikael S and Benjamin Z. His big cut of the week was on DK Mountain lap, improving from 241st to 153rd place, which very narrowly missing the Titan standards.

The other active players were #225 Jacob Langone, who raced his sixth top-200 time (a 46"7 Castle lap) to move ahead of Chase W in the rankings; #336 Will Dykstra, who continued his 10-year comeback and found his fifth and sixth Hero standards; and #486 Joao Custodio, who jumped 40 positions in the rankings with as few as 8 improvements, and it looks like he may have found his first Hero standard on Yoshi Circuit.

#7 Truffle10 reported two cuts, scoring a new top-10 on Mario Circuit lap and another top-10 on Castle 3lap. All up Truffle has 20/32 top-10s now, and notably he reduced his AF to 9.84 to average in the single digit positions. Truffle moved ahead of #8 Ricky with these cuts. Much of the legwork was accomplished last week when Truffle moved away from Rebecca to get closer to Ricky, and this week's comparatively smaller cut was enough to overtake Ricky. The next player along, #6 Xander G, is actually only 0.3 points ahead and Truffle has cut three times that amount in the past two weeks.

Elsewhere in the top-100, #18 Joseph Emerald returned after nearly one year break and raced a top-10 (10th place) in Peach Beach. #34 Enzu Vusur continued his activity and found a top-25 Colosseum lap, his fourth highest ranked time. #40 Mats Frium moved ahead of Paul T after racing two small cuts on Daisy Cruiser, notably a lap ranked 30th place that is one of his highest ranked scores. #46 Midnightial cut 1.2 points and gained a spot by tying Olivier P, and also completed a full year of weekly active streaks; his latest highlights were getting 37th place in Daisy Cruiser (his fourth highest ranked score) and improving both Baby Park course and lap to top-50 level. Finally, #88 Charlotte Crego gained three spots by passing Kevin B, Leo P, and Cedric W in a densely packed area, and managed to pass those players by playing just one track.

#189 Douglas Palma reported a 6pt cut, enough to move ahead of six players. His victims were Daniel S, John A, Andy B, Andre B, Alan D, and Marcel F and one of those players was very recently active. Douglas is starting to race top-200 scores more frequently and uncovered three more this week to take his total to 19/32, as well as take his average to 198th. His highlight was perhaps Yoshi Circuit lap 33"3, which was a Titan D standard and his first Titan standard on any track between Mushroom Bridge and Rainbow Road. Douglas has almost all the Titans in the first five tracks, and this single new Titan in the middle of 20-Heroes-in-a-row could open the floodgates.

#236 Nathan Hayter is slowing down a bit as he climbs higher and higher up the rankings. Last week's 84pt AF cut was not sustainable, and Nathan followed up with a 34pt cut this week. Still very strong, taking him almost 40 spots higher and into the top-250. He may be able to reach the top-200 in the next two weeks. He dedicated most of his cuts to his 300+ ranked times, reducing the count from 15 down to 4 left. Nathan also updated all 12 of his remaining Experts to Hero level to reach 32/32 Hero. He did not gain any new Titans because he was focusing on his weaker tracks, and remains on 5/32 Titans.

#526 Joao Custodio returned with his first scores since 2024. Not much to say except that he reported 18 improvements, mostly to upgrade his Advanced standards to Expert level. He succeeded in all except one (DK Mountain) and now has 31/32 Experts. Joao's 130pt cut was very large, but also likely took him weeks or months to obtain, and he didn't really say.

#721 Evie van Doorn returned with her first scores since 2025, also breaking a year hiatus. Last April she had only played a few tracks, and has now finally completed the timesheet. Almost everything sits at Advanced level, with one weak score remaining on Baby Park (her only 1000+ ranked and only Intermediate standard), which is neutralised by several stronger Expert-level runs on Peach Beach and Mushroom Bridge. Overall, Evie is now Advanced B where previously she was Beginner. Her top time seems to be Beach 3lap, ranked 512th.

Also active: #340 Will Dykstra (return after 10 years, raced his 4th Hero standard), #449 Oliwia Tachyon (upgraded Peach Beach to Hero), #1220 Declan Haines (found his sixth and seventh Intermediate standards).

#8 Truffle10 led activity this week, and cut a chunky 0.6pts in AF. Truffle didn't gain a spot, but moved well ahead of #9 Rebecca and is within striking range of #7 Ricky H. Truffle improved a few of his tracks to top-10 level: Mario Circuit (7th), Waluigi Stadium (10th), Sherbet Land lap (6th), and Yoshi Circuit (9th). He now has just over half of his timesheet at top-10 or above.

#12 Trenton Steinburg did just enough to clinch 12th spot ahead of #13 Muwaffaq I, moving up to a 12.75 AF compared to Muwaffaq's 12.78. Trenton grinded Luigi Circuit, arguably his weakest track, and improved both his course and lap by just a handful of spots, but he knew that it might be enough to gain a spot overall (and he was right). His next target, ex-champion #11 Andrew M, is 0.3 AF points, which honestly is not a very huge amount of ground to cover. Can Trenton do it?

#88 Charlotte Crego's 4pt AF cut gave her wins against Noah M, Scott D, Jake S, Xavier V, and Joel J in the rankings. She played Colosseum and Rainbow, specifically to learn and practice R-tech on those tracks, and jumped thirty spots in all four races. The Rainbow scores were slightly higher ranked, clocking in around 65-70th place, and were both new Myth standards. Charlotte recently reached overall Myth status, but still has a majority of Hero standards. The two new Myths put her at 15/32 Myths.

#174 Theo Bregegere is hunting down his last remaining Hero standards. Another two went down this week, on Mountain and Jungle laps. Theo is up to 26 Titans with six Heroes left to go, most of them lap times. He moved ahead of MKDS legend #175 Fabien with these cuts.

#272 Nathan Hayter continued hitting the big numbers, reporting a 84pt AF cut this week. He is up nearly 500 positions in the past two months since joining. Nathan had 9 Hero standards two weeks ago, and is now up to 5 Titans and 15 Heroes for a total of 22 Heroes. His first five Titans are on Luigi lap, Colosseum course and lap, and Rainbow course and lap. The best among them was Rainbow lap, ranked 137th place, but Rainbow 3lap and both Colosseum runs are not too far behind that. It seems that Nathan is able to race top-150 quality scores on multiple tracks, so he still has a lot of potential left.

Also active: #34 Enzo Vusur (on holiday, managed to keep his PR streak going), #225 Jacob Langone (first cuts this month), #236 Theo Davelaar (reached Hero B level), #339 Stephen De Winter (raced his 12th Hero standard).

#1 Andrew Harvey raced his first improvement in three months, a 1'28"01 Desert run less than a frame away from the sub. Sadly, Andrew did not gain any spots for this and remains in fourth place on this track, which also means his AF was unaffected. The good news is that he remains in 1st place, still leading #2 Tristan by 0.03 points.

#13 Trenton Steinburg is biting on the heels of Muwaffaq I and needs just 0.1 AF points to overtake. Trenton cut 0.44 points this week following some strong cuts in Wario Colosseum. He last raced a PR on this track 11 months ago, and improved both course and lap from 20th place down to 14th (course) and 12th (lap). Yes, it was Trenton's weakest track according to the numbers.

#34 Enzo Vusur moved ahead of JSX and Andrew G in the rankings after revisiting Wario Colosseum. Similar to Trenton, it had been a long time since Enzo's last scores: since 2024. Enzo improved the 2lap by 0.8 seconds to jump from 53rd to 37th place, in line with his average, and raced his 21st God standard there. He also improved his lap to 34th place, although it was already top-40 even back in 2024.

Also in the top-50, #41 Mats Frium is nearly equal with ex-champ Paul T and #47 Midnightial moved past David S. Mats improved one of his better tracks, Daisy Cruiser, to 35th place on the lap. He knows that getting 33rd or higher would let him reach Paul in the rankings. Midnightial also played Daisy Cruiser, which is one of his weaker tracks, and mounted a challenge on Mats by racing within a frame of Mats's old lap, still managing to at least earn a God standard for his efforts. He also found a new top-50 on the course time, moving up to 19/32 top-50s.

#175 Theo Bregegere raced 13 PRs over the last two weeks and reported a 28pt cut. The move saw him climb 24 positions and move ahead of players such as Marvin M, Scott A, Mikael S, Andy B, Alan D, and Douglas P. Interestingly, most of Theo's improvements were on lap times, but if you notice that 14 of his 16 Hero standards were on lap times then you would be less surprised. From those 16 Heroes, Theo upgraded 8 to Titan level and reached 24/32 Titans. He also became overall Titan D. The other statistic that Theo is chasing is top-200 times and this week was a big jump in that direction, going from 17/32 to 26/32.

#352 Nathan Hayter found 28 new PRs since he last updated us on his progress four weeks ago. These improvements earned him a 127pt cut, which of course means that he jumped over a hundred spots. Nathan's top time a month ago was 305th place on Baby Park, and after this update he has 5 scores ranked above that, the top ones being Baby Park (still) at 237th and Rainbow lap (at 232nd). Nathan is also growing his Hero tally, currently sitting on 9 where he had just 1 before. The timesheet is looking more polished this week, with fewer low-hanging fruit, so another 100+ point cut may not happen.

Also active: #528 Serge Goutorbe (has set himself a medium term goal of reaching top-400).

#7 Ricky Haitaian led activity and found a 0.2pt AF cut. Not huge, but does put him at 0.4pt distance to #6 Xander G and such a gap could be erased with a few strategic cuts. Ricky's new scores for the week were a 7th place lap in Luigi Circuit, a new 50Hz record in Desert 3lap (sixth overall), and his first sub on Yoshi Circuit with an epic 1'39"98. The other milestone that he achieved was getting his AF under 10: currently sitting on 9.78.

#13 Trenton Steinburg, #36 Enzo Vusur, and #48 Midnightial were all active once again, although none gained any spots for their efforts. Trenton improved his Dino Dino Jungle lap a little bit, and is trying to get his time to top-10; he ended up missing 10th place by 0"001, the smallest margin, and is stuck with 11th spot for now. Enzo grinded Mario Circuit the whole week and was rewarded with his 20th God standard. His goal was to win the God and move-on because he really dislikes this track. Midnightial improved his Luigi Circuit 3lap to top-50 level, and tried to do the same on Daisy Cruiser, ending up with 57th. He has 17/32 top-50s, just past the half way point.

#338 Stephen De Winter improved his Rainbow Road lap from 108th to 98th, winning a top-100 time. His course time is ranked 103rd. As we all know, Stephen is a Rainbow specialist and his scores here are 150+ positions ahead of his next best track. In 50Hz, his run is ranked 40th, which is a new peak ranking for him.

Ricky set a new 50Hz record on Dry Dry Desert with a 1'28"417, beating Trenton's 1'28"50 from six weeks ago. This year, David GP, Trenton, and Ricky have all beaten Mattilde's former 50Hz record on this track.

Jerk plays some other Kart games, notably Mario Kart 8. He has mostly Beginner standards with a few Intermediates around, and his Bowser's Castle lap is just two frames away from the Advanced standards.

#7 Ricky Haitaian is fending off #8 Truffle10 with both players trying to get their average below 10th place. Ricky improved his Cruiser lap to 7th and found a new top-10 on Yoshi Circuit lap, which puts his AF at exactly 10.0 points. He also improved one of his Glitch times to top-5, and is now up to 21/32 top-10s with his weakest time ranked 17th place. Truffle recently became the No. 1 Canada player after passing #12 Robert M, and this week passed Robert's long time rival #11 Rebecca C. Truffle's improvements were his first 1'13'X on Sherbet, both Rainbows, and a very speedy 1'41"3 DK Mountain. His Rainbow lap was the biggest jump, from 20th to 10th place, but DK Mountain was the strongest time. His new run is 0"3 behind Andrew's record. Truffle was already ranked 2nd here anyway, so perhaps he is trying to help #2 Tristan reach the #1 spot again.

#13 Trenton Steinburg gained a spot and passed Douglas D, which he correctly predicted. Trenton felt the urge to fight his second-worst track, Mushroom Bridge, where he scrapped together two top-15s (barely) to cut five or so positions from both the course and lap. Colosseum is still Trenton's achilles heel, and Bridge is no longer so bad: his overall average is 13, both of his new scores are ranked 14th, and he now has six tracks with weaker scores that he can focus on instead.

#24 Shane Pizza, #36 Enzo Vusur, #41 Mats Frium, and #48 Midnightial were also active in the top-50. Shane had a small cut on Mario Circuit lap, his first submission in over a month. Enzo had a strong week last week and carried his momentum to one of his weaker tracks, Mario Circuit, which he improved by very large amounts; he cut 40 spots on the 3lap, grinded the lap to top-30, and moved ahead of ex-champ #37 Vincent vdF in the rankings. Mats got the jump on Mikel N and is one spot behind ex-champ Paul T, who is also the gateway to the top-40. After posing with the Norwegian soccer team down at the lake, Mats returned home and smashed his Waluigi lap from 68th to 33rd to win an 18th God standard. Mats knows that he is just one or two small cuts away from passing Paul, so expect that to happen next update. Finally, Midnightial got his average under 50 points and reached the 16/32 half way point of a top-50 timesheet with a new top-50 run of Luigi lap. He improved his 3lap as well, albeit to 51st, and just missed out. Midnightial won a spot for his efforts and moved ahead of #49 Mismis, who was one of the most active players last year but has been away for the past three months.

Near the top-100, #93 Charlotte Crego produced a 3pt AF cut to pass Kai O, with the big milestone being that Charlotte reached Myth D status. Gone are the Titan sunrises and Titan sunsets: we are eating Myth lunch, now. Charlotte's cuts for the week included 72nd place in Yoshi Circuit, 61st in Desert lap, 58th in Baby Park... basically some of their strongest times to date. Everybody's favourite Titan, #98 Zevihex Titan+, continued to chip away at his namesake and has another 0.3 ARR points to go until he will have a new identity. #109 Joe Consoli is on the other side of the top-100, but still counts as "near". He raced a sizeable improvement in Baby Park, moving up twenty spots. Joe said that he is playing a few other games right now and his Double Dash attention is being divided, but he still has a top-100 target.

#194 Douglas Palma and #199 Theo Bregegere both moved into the top-200. Douglas was bang-on 200 last week and moved six spots further in, passing the likes of Jeffrey G and Jonas N. Douglas found his tenth Titan standard with a 28"9 Desert lap, and reached overall Hero A status. Theo is behind Douglas but perhaps not for long, given his huge 49pt cut. Theo reported 23 new improvements, which took him 4 weeks to collect. A month ago Theo had 1 Titan time (on Cruiser lap, ranked 155th) and now has 16 of them. He said that collecting Titans is the new focus and he is half way in getting the whole set. Two of his new runs, Sherbet lap 135th & Castle 3lap 138th, were faster than his best time from a month ago, but that Cruiser lap is still one of Theo's best scores. In ARR, Theo's big cuts moved the needle from Hero C to A, skipping over Hero B. There is still some work to do to reach overall Titan level, with another 0.9 ARR points to go, but Theo also has a few tracks he has not played in two months.
