#8 Ricky Haitaian led activity with six improvements, notably new top-10 scores on Luigi lap and Daisy Cruiser lap. he also improved his weakest time, Yoshi Circuit 3lap ranked 21st, down to 16th place and now has all of his scores inside the top-20. Ricky's 0.4 AF cut did not gain him a spot, but a further 0.4 cut would take him right up to #7 Rebecca C.

#12 Truffle10 and #13 Trenton Steinberg were both active a short way behind Ricky. Both are trying to reach #11 Douglas D, who is within half an AF point distance. Truffle's first three runs in a month were 2 improvements that did nothing for him, and 1 very strong run that did a lot. It was a 32"9 DK Mountain lap, up from 5th to 2nd place, that missed the WR by a mere 0"005 and gave Truffle renewed confidence that he could have this record. He is also second on the 3lap, so this is clearly his best track in terms of stats. Meanwhile, Trenton got a new 50Hz record on Sherbet land and scored a small 0.2 AF cut in the combined charts, albeit not yet enough to catch up to Truffle and they remain 0.3 points apart.

Near the top-50, #47 Enzo Vusur reported a 1.1pt AF cut but did not gain the spots he wanted -- to pass ex-champ David S overall (needs another 0.2pts) and to pass Olivier P in 60Hz for the French No. 5 spot (needs another 0.06pt) -- but it looks like he will earn both of those accolades next time. Enzo only raced one track, Bowser's Castle, and his improvements were substantial: he pushed his lap from 50th to 33rd to win the God standard, and his 3lap jump from 62nd to 41st place. Close by, #55 Midnightial tackled Baby Park again after avoiding it for three months and halved his ranks there, going from 98th & 84th on the course and lap down to 56th & 49th place. The lap time was Midnightial's seventh top-50 run. With a 2.4pt AF cut, Midnightial moved ahead of Paul M, Alex H, Dwight P, and Kyle H in the rankings.

#173 Joe Consoli is working hard to reach the top-150 before his college graduation in a couple of months. This would represent a halving of his ranking since rebooting his kart career a few months ago circa the #300 ranks. Joe found 12 improvements this week and a 13pt AF cut, which propelled him ahead of Fabien dS, Scott A, Gerardo A, and more. He upgraded five Heroes to Titan level and pushed six 200+ ranked times to top-200 level, but his highlight was probably Waluigi Stadium lap, previously 163rd and now 109th. His Yoshi Circuit improvements, from 197th to 129th place, was also notable. Joe became a Titan player and is now up to 21/32 Titans.

#234 Douglas Javier Palma found a 15pt AF cut from just 7 cuts, and it seems that he has turned a page and started racing Titan times. Last month Douglas found his first Titan with a sub-25 Luigi lap. This week he raced 4 new ones on the tracks around it and now has Titans on three out of four Mushroom Cup tracks. He also raced some new top-200s to add to his pair, such as Luigi lap 162nd, Baby Park 7lap 183rd, and Desert 3lap 179th. He passed #237 Alex T for now, and we'll have to wait and see if that holds.

#469 Oliwia Tachyon got a second top-250 time, pushing her Baby Park 7lap from 253rd to 210th. He lap, as we know, is sitting on 103rd spot and Oliwia is avoiding playing it further due to emulator concerns. Meanwhile, she is returning to other tracks and pushing some to top-500 level, and Oliwia finally got her AF below 500 points. Her other highlight this week was upgrading her final two Advanced scores to reach 32/32 Experts.

#829 Statistics tackled a few of his weakest tracks and upgraded some Intermediate standards to Advanced level, reaching 23/32 Advanced and 32/32 top-1000s at the same time. He found a 26pt AF cut this week, which resolved to 23 positions in the rankings. Quickly catching up behind Statistics was #844 EisFanOff with a hefty 158pt AF cut. It's EisFan's first week on the site, so big improvements are not unexpected and that's despite losing 700 positions in one track due to a typo last week. EisFan's progress can be summarised as going from 2 Advanced standards to 23 Advanced standards in one week, so we would expect a 32/32 soon.

Also active: #104 Charlotte Crego (slashed 25 spots off Luigi 3lap), #190 Andy Best (two new Titans).

New Records

Trenton S improved the 50Hz record on Sherbet Land from 1'13"93, set by Mattilde in 2024, to 1'13"887. This was Trenton's first attempts in 50Hz and he previously did not have a 50Hz time for this track. This run also beat his 60Hz time of 1'13"98, saving roughly one frame per lap. Trenton also raced a strong lap of 23"73 here, but Ricky still holds the 50Hz record with a 23"65.

#47 Enzo Vusur split his attention between refinement and exploration, continuing to polish Sherbet Land while also starting afresh on Bowser's Castle. His Sherbet 3lap is now 40th place and almost in the same league as his lap, ranked 30th. Meanwhile, Bowser's Castle has been left untouched since 2024 and Enzo finally returned to it to score a new Myth standard, his 29th so far. Enzo gained one spot in the ranking, tying Mismis on the same AF.

#61 Midnightial made a concise but impactful appearance, tightening both scores on Wario Stadium. With just two improvements, he secured two new Myth standards (his 26th & 27th) and found his sixth top-50 score with his course time clocking in at 49th place. He moved ahead of ex-champ Jonathan S and Hugh M in the rankings.

#182 Joe Consoli was again one of the most active players with 7 cuts, and his resulting 7pt AF cut gave him victory against the likes of Chevallier F, Mickael S, and Derek V. Baby Park was an early win for Joe, jumping frm 190th to 154th spot to upgrade a Hero time to Titan level. A further two Heroes fell on Mushroom Bridge 3lap and Daisy Cruiser lap, both also dipping below the top-200. Joe has 16 Titans now, but they are all in the first ten tracks and the last six tracks are still only Hero level. A few more Titans on any of those tracks should help him reach overall Titan level, but for now he remains Hero A.

#237 Alex Thom and #247 Douglas Javier Palma both pushed further into the top-250 this week and are very close to each other. Alex reported his first cuts since November and he waited until achieving the last few Hero times for the enviable 32/32 milestone. Four of his nine cuts were Experts-turned-Hero, and his best time this round was DK Mountain lap, ranked 174th. Douglas achieved the 32/32 this week as well by upgrading his last four Experts to Hero level. He gained 11 spots in the rankings and joined the top-250 as a result, many months after Alex did. However, Douglas is active every week these days and may overtake Alex as early as next week. His cuts were very few -- just four PRs -- but quite large because they were on his two weakest tracks. Let's see how Douglas does next time.

#481 Oliwia Tachyon had one last hurrah on Baby Park, improving her lap from 119th to 103rd and trying to stop outside the top-100 before her emulator use becomes contentious. With Baby Park solved, her hunting down of her last handful of remaining Advanced standards had her revisit Mario Circuit, Jungle, Castle and Rainbow. Now at 30/32 Experts, Oliwia still needs to figure out how to tackle her final Advanced standards on Waluigi 3lap and Jungle 3lap. A 23pt AF saw Oliwia gain quite a bit of ground and not just reach the top-500 but also move a fair way past the barrier.

#745 Blinks reported 26 PRs to accumulate a huge 149pt AF cut in his third week with us. He improved both course and lap times in all 13 tracks that he touched. The three tracks left untouched -- Mountain, Colosseum and Rainbow -- were already his best ones and yet are now looking average in comparison to his latest runs, with even Dino Dino Jungle taking over Rainbow as best-track. Blinks progressed from 13/32 to 32/32 Advanced, which explains why he didn't play some tracks. Currently Jungle 3lap, ranked 602nd and Advanced A, seems to be his strongest track and best chance at Expert with Rainbow lap and Beach lap perhaps next most likely.

Also active: Declain Haines (cut 4sec on Sherbet lap).

Welcome to...

EisFanOff, France (#1002, Intermediate B).

EisFan has mostly Intermediate scores with what seems to be a typo on one track. He also has a few Advanced runs, notably 798th spot in Baby Park. He has only just started, so could improve quite quickly over coming weeks.

Movement

The battle for #1 was already on a knife's edge, and this week saw the top two spots swap again. #1 Andrew Harvey improved both of his Dry Dry Desert scores, of which only his lap was a positional gain (from 3rd to 2nd place), and that one single spot was enough to make a difference because he beat Tristan's lap by 0"005, which meant that Andrew gained 0.03 AF points and Tristan lost 0.03 AF points. Their new AF scores are 2.69 v 2.72 with Andrew on top once more all thanks to a margin of 0"005 in one track. Tristan hasn't played in a few months now, so we don't know if he's got anything up his sleeve or if he is making any attempts.

Elsewhere in the top-100, #48 Enzo Vusur was again active and managed to push his Sherbet Land just that little bit higher. Enzo was a mere 0"01 shy of the God standard last time, and he finally got it to move up to 14/32 God standards. #63 Midnightial reported a 3.5pt cut to move ahead of Andrea C, Maxime D and Stacy N, whis is no small feat. (Andrea is one of the most active players of the past five years, and Stacy is among the three players across the entire Kart series). Midnightial reported four improvements to make this happen, although almost all the workload was in Yoshi Circuit where he smashed his old time from November by 40-50 positions each. Midnightial reached overall Myth B level with these cuts.

#105 Charlotte Crego's 3pointer cut was good enough to pass Steven S, Trystan P, and Stefan vD. She moved three spots up and has five more to go to reach Gregor F, who is guarding the top-100 gates. Charlotte found a new Myth standard on Cruiser lap and nearly scored a top-100 time on that track, but missed by two spots. She also pushed her Baby Park 7lap to 105th, just slightly missing the top-100 and slightly missing the Myth standards. These misses were bittersweet, although there was some joy with Baby Park 1lap being ranked 68th, which makes it her second top-75 score ever.

#187 Joe Consoli is back, of course, with an 11pt cut. Only half the size of last week's big chompy cut but, then again, the motivation to reach the top-200 is now gone because he already accomplished it. Still, Joe found more than 10 improvements for the week and that makes him seem motivated-enough. Five of those cuts were upgrades to top-200 level, and one of them -- a 24"2 Sherbet lap -- was ranked 99th and was Joe's first top-100 score. Joe said that he is happy with these cuts, especially Sherbet as it's already his best track, but he believe that he can push it further and maybe even grind it to Myth level.

#258 Douglas Javier Palma reported a 24pt cut, almost a 10% decimation of his AF, and he moved up 23 spots. Douglas last chimed in two weeks ago, so perhaps there was two weeks of cuts tucked in there, but his previous best was 223rd. The new batch of runs included his first top-200s, namely 195th in Luigi 3lap and 191st in DK Mountain 3lap, as well as his first Titan standard with a 24"9 Luigi lap. Douglas still has a few remaining Expert standards, but he reached 29/32 Heroes and became overall Hero C this week, so having that first Titan in his hands may be good motivation to polish off the last few Experts.

#344 Theo Bregegere also reported a 24pt cut, although it's been seven months since we last heard from him. Theo has been on the site for 6.9 years now, and occassionally returns with big cuts. With 17 improvements to report, I would say his biggest cut wsa Daisy Cruiser lap (from 406th to 233rd) and he was perhaps most happy with the 4 new Hero standards that he raced: Beach 3lap, Cruiser 3lap, Waluigi 3lap, and Jungle 3lap. All course times, all Heroes, but Cruiser was just that little bit better at Hero C instead of D. Theo became overall Expert A level and the next step up would be overall Hero, but it's not obvious if he will play right away or take another extended break.

Also active: #446 Charles Schrader (new top-500 on Mario Circuit), #507 Oliwia Tachyon (should reach top-500 next update), and #1226 Declan Haines (earned his first five Intermediate standards).

There was nothing new at the top and we need to go to #45 Mats Frium for this week's top activity. Mats raised his Rainbow Road lap from 20th to 18th, earning his third "teens" ranked time and missing out on his best ranked time (17th in Colosseum) by one spot. Mats says that he lost 0.1s on the final turn, which might mean a future top-10 time for him here.

#48 Enzo Vusur moved ahead of Tristan M following a pair of lap cuts. His big one was a 21"7 Beach lap, ranked 33rd, that is his fourth highest ranked score. He jumped over four French players to move into No. 3 France spot with this time, which he was very happy with as he said it only took him a few tries to get on the day (after grinding the track for many many days before that, of course).

#66 Midnightial cut nearly a full second off his Jungle 3lap, pushing it up to 48th place, and earned a 23rd Myth standard. It was one of his ten remaining Titans, even though he had improved it as recently as ten days ago. He has 9 Titans left, a single 100+ ranked time left, and should be able to get that Myth B promotion with his next one or two PRs.

#199 Joe Consoli popped off with a 22pt cut, much bigger than last week's cut. He was very motivated by the prospect of reaching the top-200 and calculated every gain from each improvement. Joe reported 17 improvements that included some cuts from the second half of last week, so all up around ten days' worth of play time. Joe's AF is 207.5 now, but only 5 of his improvements were dedicated to pushing scores into the top-200 (and the best of those was Jungle lap, from 253rd to 176th). The remaining 12 cuts were on lower-ranked tracks and he got most of his timesheet to top-250 level, as well as eliminated his last few 300+ ranked times (on Colosseum, Jungle, and Rainbow) to smooth out some wrinkles. Perhaps surprisingly, Joe did not get any new Titans this week, nor reach Hero A status yet. But he is close..

#281 Douglas Javier Palma sent 8 PRs and obtained a sizeable 27pt cut for them. That's half as many cuts as Joe, yet a larger overall gain. Douglas targeted many of his remaining Expert times and promoted 8 of them to Hero level: Beach x2, Bridge x2, Mario x2, Yoshi x2. Almost all of these were 100+ position cuts. The largest of them was Peach Beach lap, from 410th to 286th. Douglas still has 11 Experts remaining, which influences his track schedule over coming days. For now, at least, he can rest east knowing that he reached overall Hero D level and his Expert days are behind him.

Also active: #298 Ashley Taylor (first submission in two years), #519 Oliwia Tachyon (double Expert on Yoshi Circuit), #1268 Declan Haines (first submission in four years).

Movement

#2 Andrew Harvey slightly improved his Desert lap again, moving up from fourth to third place. He still remains overall No. 2 with an AF of 2.72 compared to Tristan's 2.69, but this small improvement flipped the tables in 60Hz where Andrew is back to the No. 1 spot, with a 60Hz AF of 2.31 compared to Tristan's 2.34. These are all very small margins: a single position change on any track can win or lose Andrew (or Tristan) a spot in one Hertz or the other.

#8 Ricky Haitaian moved ahead of Robert M to capture another spot, and his next challenge is #7 Rebecca C who is 0.8 points ahead. He reported four improvements. His Sherbet 3lap 1'13"9 was a new sub and progressed from 15th to 10th spot, marking his only new top-10. The other three cuts this week were already top-10s, and Ricky was just pushing them a little higher. The best among them was a 27"4 Desert up, up from ninth to sixth place.

#14 Trenton Steinburg was active in Shortcuts and raced two Glitch records. See below!

The usual group of #45 Mats Frium, #49 Enzu Vusur, #66 Midnightial, and #69 Andy A were all active within the top-100. Mats raced his second best time two weeks ago (dipping into the 25-30 range on Rainbow Road), and this week pushed them high up to 24th to 20th place. His Colosseum pair, ranked 17th and 18th, are still very slightly higher but you have to say that Rainbow is looking particularly strong for Mats. Enzo V had a great week, cutting 3.5 points to pass Tyrell W and Jordan H to grab himself a top-50 spot. Enzo only raced three cuts, but his Peach Beach times were huge timesavers: from 90th to 36th on the 3lap and from 81st to 43rd on the 1lap. More surprising is that his "old" times on this track were only two weeks old! The Beach 3lap marked Enzo's 13th God standard, and yet it was his first course time as the other twelve are all laps. Midnightial gained a spot to move ahead of Ivy Rose A following some big Desert improvements. He was previously ranked 85+ and his new course and lap time are 59th and 64th (resp.), squarely at Myth+ level and missing the God standards by a few frames. Midnightial slashed 0.3 points off his ARR and is very close to moving on from his Myth C days. Finally, Andy A reported three small cuts that were still enough to overtake #70 Michael D. Andy is a few spots behind Midnightial and both players are now ranked in the sixties. Andy's highlight was his 2'19"96 Bowser's Castle that eked out a new sub.

#218 Joe Consoli found four new top-200s: 173rd in Luigi Circuit, 187th Waluigi, and his 196th & 199th pair in Mushroom City. These four cuts included Joe's eighth and ninth Titan standards, and he also moved up to 9/32 top-200s. With a 6pt AF cut, Joe moved past Matt B, Rhodri M, Tory W, Tim S, and Chase W. To reach the top-200 Joe needs to save an additional 22 AF pts, which at his present rate may be achievable sometime during March.

#309 Douglas Javier Palma found a 17pt AF cut, and he needs just 7 more points for a top-300 spot. Surely it's in the bag? Douglas has been racing Hero times recently and had collected 8 Heroes by last week, and this week he reported 5 PRs, all of them Heroes, to move up to 13/32. His highlight was a 1'34"5 Desert 3lap, 77 positions faster than before and good enough for the top-250, debuting Douglas's first top-250 score.

Also active: #447 Charles Schrader (but he lost AF this week, may a typo?), #524 Oliwia Tachyon (chasing her 12 remaining Advanced standards), #594 Cryptonic (cut a second in Castle), #879 Pierre Jamelot (trying out new tactics in the Desert).

New Records

Trenton S improved both of his Wario Colosseum glitch records. He improved the 3lap from 1'46"2 to 1'44"647 and the lap from 44"6 to 43"556. Trenton already held both of these records, with his last marks dating back to Jan 2025 and Sep 2024. Trenton remains in the lead with 9/17 Glitch WRs since he already had both of these.

Ricky H raced 2 records in 50Hz. His 27"474 Dry Dry Desert lap is a 0"06 lead over Mattilde's time from two years ago, and the 1'42"097 DK Mountain course time beat Mattilde's 1'42"2 from 2023. Both of these scores are just outside the top-5 in 60Hz where the competition is a little bit tighter. Ricky has three 50Hz records along with his Sherbet lap set back in October.

#2 Andrew Harvey clawed back 0.03 AF points with a new Dry Dry Desert lap, clocking in at 4th place. He says his target is second or third spot, not merely fourth, so he may play this some more. Andrew's AF is back to 2.75, with #1 Tristan still ahead on 2.69.

#9 Ricky Haitaian improved one his worst track, Wario Colosseum, to top-20 level. He raced in 50Hz and his times were actually top-5 in 50Hz, and sit around 15-16th place in the Combined rankings, which is slightly below Ricky's AF of 11.75. Speaking of averages, 11.75 is getting close to #8 Robert M's 11.62, which means Ricky is not too far off gaining yet another spot.

#13 Truffle10, voted by you lot as Player of the Year, is back with his first cuts since the crowning. He improved his DK Mountain lap to 5th and Yoshi Circuit to 8th place. Given that he is 2nd in DK Mountain 3lap, getting a top-5 lap there was perhaps expected. As for Yoshi, it's Truffle's ninth top-10 time.

#45 Mats Frium is in a busy area, with #47 Mismis, #52 Enzo Vusur, and #67 Midnightial all chiming in this week. Mats got his Rainbow 3lap down to top-25 level, which cements it as his third best score (after his Colosseum) and second track where he's got down to top-25. Mats in interested in Scandinavian records and noted that he got wins against Finland (Konsta) and Denmark (Magnus) with this run, but missed Sweden (Mikael) by just one spot. It's still a top-4 score in Scandinavia, so we think Mats is happy with it. Mismis improved both their DK Mountain scores to top-50 level, although the real reason to play that dastardly track was to score their 31st and 32nd Myth standards and finally lay claim to the coveted 32/32 collection. Enzo Vusur's big news was getting two new God standards, a 32"4 Yoshi lap and a 33"1 Jungle lap. The Yoshi lap he was already very close to and needed a mere 0.02 cut to earn it, but his Jungle racing saw an overhaul where Enzo improved from 106th to 33rd spot; he was nowhere near the God standard before, and had to jump 6 standards to get there. In some ways this was not a huge surprise, given that he last improved his Jungle runs in 2023 and they were his worst ranked times, so a big cut was due. The lap marks Enzo's 10th God standard and, although it's not his highest ranked time, it's quite a bit ahead of his average. Finally we have #67 Midnightial, gaining a spot in the rankings with double cuts on Mushroom Bridge. His lap was already fast enough for the God standard, and he pushed it to G+1; his course time was Myth C and Midnightial is keen for a God there as well, and managed to gain three standards and a Myth+ for now.

#222 Joe Consoli's 18pt cut was even larger than last week. Maybe he is accelerating? In any case, he reported 14 improvements, which is nearly half of his timesheet. Most PRs were small, with just a single new Titan among them, but Joe hit a few milestones such as sub-1'10 Peach Beach, sub-1'45 Yoshi Circuit, and 18 out of 32 top-250s (up from just 10 last week). No reason to stop now.

#323 Douglas Javier Palma had an 18pt AF cut of his own, mostly just from Baby Park and Mushroom City. Four of Douglas's six cuts were on these tracks, and the cuts were big. Like Expert to Hero big, and 100 positions higher than before. Douglas already had 4 Hero standards, with three of them raced earlier this month, but this week's haul takes him up to 8 Heroes and he has just 0.3 ARR points to go to graduate from the Expert ranks.

#524 Oliwia Tachyon became a track specialist last year and pushed he limits on Baby Park with some top-250 times. She improved her lap a few times over, even getting a top-150 run last month (ranked 144th) whereas her second best track is ranked 434th. This week Oliwia keep pushing Baby Park even further, and is now down to 119th place as well as her first God standard. He 7lap time, ranked Hero D, is her next best score (ranked 267th) and is 14 standards lower. Needle-point specialisation! Can she get top-100? She has an 8"58 and needs an 8"55, literally a single frame.

#804 Mattias Break improved all 32 of his scores in a single week, for nearly a 300pt AF cut. Last week, everything was ranked 1000+ and sat at Intermediate level. This week, Mattias has mostly 800-900 ranked times (with just one 1000+ time left over) and a new peak performance is 685th place in Rainbow lap. His entire timesheet is now Advanced D or better, with not a single Intermediate left unaddressed. Mattias said that he received expert coaching from Scandinavian buddies Mats F, Andy A and Alex T and his big cuts were largely due to their motivation and advice.

Also active: #594 Cryptonic (return after seven months away), #975 James Casey (second Advanced time).

#2 Andrew Harvey purchased a new controller recently and managed a small cut on Dry Dry Desert, but remains in 4th place on that track. The AF gap between Andrew and the recent new champ, Tristan, is only 0.1 AF points and Andrew could theoretically get back to the top if he can steal the Desert record from Tristan, but it won't be so easy as Tristan's record there is another 0.25 seconds ahead from Andrew's latest effort. Meanwhile, Tristan has been quiet ever since he took the 60Hz Champ title almost three weeks ago.

#24 Shane Pizza reported his first improvement in 7 months, and it was in 50Hz. Yes, he is finally giving it a shot and trying his best to catch up to his 60Hz scores. His first success was a 24"29 Luigi lap that beat his 60Hz run by 0"01, but Shane said that he is not yet consistent enough with the MTs to successfully complete a good 3lap run. Shane's lap is ranked 9th in the 50Hz charts, so it's pretty good.

#45 Mats Frium may be feeling patriotic with the recent Olympics medal tally, and tried his hand at two of his best tracks. Colosseum was already his highest ranked course time, at 22nd place, and he pushed it to 16th. Mats pointed out that this is even a top-5 time in 50hz, taking over Xander J's slot. Rainbow Road is one of the few tracks where Mats had a top-40 score and he managed to get the lap down to 29th place this week, only his second track with a top-30 time besides Colosseum. This was also Mats's 15th God standard as he approaches the collection's half-way point.

#53 Enzo Vusur found his seventh top-40 run with 38th place in Yoshi Circuit lap, and sadly missed out on the God standard there by a few frames. His other news was a return to Peach Beach with his first cuts since 2024, where he managed to eliminate one of his last 100+ ranked time. He has only two 100+ ranked times remaining and both are on Dino Dino Jungle.

#68 Midnightial revisited Daisy Cruiser with his first runs there since November, which made it his second oldest track after Mushroom Bridge. As a recent-ish player, not having new scores on a track for three months made his old scores practically ancient. And it kinda showed, I guess, because his new run there was a whole second faster, from a geriatric 1'39"0 down to sprightly 1'37"9. It's one-down and one-to-go in terms of 100+ ranked times, with just Mario Circuit 1-lap left. Midnightial moved ahead of Andy A and Aaron vdS in the rankings, and tied Michael D for the No 68 spot.

#114 James Bulluck did The Thing and jumped from 80th to 49th on Baby Park lap in on swoop. A single eight second run gave him a 1pt AF cut and helped him pass Flynn H in the rankings, plus it's his new best time (taking over his 55th position in Waluigi lap). James was also stoked to get his first win (by 0"002 seconds) against ex-champ Richard K.

#240 Joe Consoli's Christmas comeback continued with 6 PRs for the week and an 8pt AF cut to show for it. He moved ahead of eight players on the ladder, including Sverre V, James L, Gavin K, and recently-active Alex T. His highlights were reaching 32/32 Heroes with the final three Experts upgraded, and finding his fifth top-200 run with 189th place in Mushroom Bridge lap. Joe said that he was very happy this week, but didn't specify what about. He was already in the top-250 last week, so I'm guessing he was happy about clinching the 32/32.

#346 Douglas Javier Palma reported 25pt cut, and had twelve new cuts. His highlights were getting his second, third and fourth Hero times. They were on Daisy Cruiser lap (446th to 314th), Rainbow 3lap (323rd to 253rd), and Rainbow lap (364th to 286th). Douglas already had a Hero time on Desert lap since 2024, but these new runs are slightly higher ranked with both Rainbow times being in the top-300. Douglas also reached overall Expert A status and is already half-way through the A level and heading towards overall Hero.

#1094 Mattias Break is yet another player who reported first cuts in a while, and in his case since 2024 just like Pierre J. Mattias improved 28 scores in recent weeks (months?) and accumulated a total AF cut of 175 points. Back in 2024 Mattias had 4 Intermediate runs and the rest of his timesheet was Beginner level. His update puts him at 32/32 Intermediates, and in fact the only track he did not improve were the 4 scores that were already at this level. His best standard is Intermediate A on Mushroom Bridge and is perhaps the most likely track to see an Advanced standard in the near future.

Also active: #52 Jack Houlihan (finally having success with A-tech on Baby Park), #336 Stephen De Winter (quite close to top-100 on Rainbow lap), #524 Oliwia Tachyon (Sherbet cuts), #878 Pierre Jamelot (return with first cut since 2024) and of course #107 Charlotte Crego (I'm sure she is active behind the scenes and this is her favourite news section).

Movement

#9 Ricky Haitaian led activity this week and improved his 50Hz Baby Park lap to fourth place. He was just 0.03 behind his 60Hz lap.

#46 Mats Frium improved his best ranked time, Colosseum lap, to 18th place for a new career peak. Outside the Colosseum his next best times are ranked high-30s, so this track is working very well for him right now.

#53 Enzo Vusur moved ahead of Sam D and hopes to join the top-50 soon. He focused exclusively on Yoshi Circuit this week and boosted his 3lap time from 76th to 51st, just missing the top-50, but fortunately did manage to help his lap time over the line by pushing it up to 45th place. Enzo said that his goal is to reach the God standards on the lap, which are a further 0"1 ahead.

#71 Midnightial moved ahead of Maurice B in the rankings. Maurice was last active just two months ago, but has been busy with Kart 64 (where he is top-10 worldwide). Midnightial's cuts were on Sherbet Land, where his 1'15"0 slightly missed the sub but the new 24"0 lap was a substantial jump from 98th to 56th place. He has been avoiding Mario Circuit and Daisy Cruiser for a few months now, but his last pair of 100+ ranked scores are there and maybe it's time to revisit those tracks.

#248 Joe Consoli continued extending his recent comeback and did enough to reach the top-250. His 6pt AF cut comprise four improvements, notably with two new subs: a 24"9 Luigi Circuit lap and a 28"9 Mario Circuit lap. The Luigi lap, ranked 192nd, was Joe's fourth top-200 score as well as his fifth Titan standard.

#525 Oliwia Tachyon has been grinding Baby Park lap on and off, pushing it all the way down to 144th place two weeks ago. She finally gave the 7lap a serious go with her first runs in three months and improved from 400+ to 267th. All that lap practice has been paying off and earned Oliwia a second Hero standard, after the lap (of course). She had some other cuts in other tracks, generally in the 500+ region and not quite at the same high level as her impressive Baby Park skills.

#844 Adam Spry reported the largest cut of the week, a 50pt AF cut from 12 PRs. He joined a month ago and has moved up roughly 120 positions since. This week he focused on six of his 1000+ ranked times and pushed them to three-digits. There are four more scores left over that are similarly ranked that Adam will most likely be scrutinising.

Also active: #107 Charlotte Crego (first sub-8"50 Baby lap), #991 James Casey (first cuts since 2024).
